Dr. Nandkishor Shamrao Thakare, My educational qualification is M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D. I am working a as Principal at M.S.P. Arts, Science and K.P.T. Commerce College Manora for the last 15 years. I have 30 years of teaching experience. I have published 27 research papers in different journals. Under my supervision, 06 students awarded with Ph. D. degree, and 05 students are currently working. I have successfully completed one Major Research Project funded by U.G.C. (Rs. 9, 33,000) and two Minor research projects also funded by U.G.C. I have received the Best Principal award from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati in the year 2015 and Jagar Janiv Award by the Ministry of Higher Education Govt. of Maharashtra in the year 2012. I worked as a member of different Academic/ Professional bodies like Senate Member Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati from 2012-2016 and Vice-president of AUCTA (Amravati University Chemistry Teachers Association). Presently I am working as an Academic Council Member and RRC member Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati. When I joined my present institute the college has three faculties Arts, Commerce and Science out of which only Arts faculty is granted. After my joining the remaining two faculties Science and Commerce are Grant in aid. Under my supervision college has a permanent affiliation with 2F and 12B status and the college has also accredited by NAAC through two cycles with ‘B’ grade with CGPA of 2.39. Four departments of the college has recognized as a Ph.D. research center by Parent University. The student strength is increased from 300 to more than 600. The female student ratio is increased from 25% to 55%, No. of faculties is increased from 07 to 24. The college has a separate faculty building with well-equipped laboratories, Auditorium Hall, Separate Library building with browsing center, Gym, Meditation Hall, etc. The college has received a grant from UGC for the construction of a Womens Hostel. The college has a Root Solar Electricity Generation system 5.5 KV capacity. The college has water harvesting pits, a tree plantation with 2050 trees, Compost pits that generate 5 quintal manure per year. College has started three skill oriented program i.e. B. Voc. College is in the very remote and backward area. The college has taken initiative for the overall development of students.
