Dr. Keshav Kashinath Deshmukh did his Ph. D. in the year 2001 from Savitribai Phule Pune University Pune. He is Principal and Head of the Department of Chemistry, Sangamner Nagarpalika Arts, D.J. Malpani Commerce & B.N. Sarda Science College, Sangamner-422 605, Dist: Ahmednagar. Dr. Keshav Kashinath Deshmukh has significantly contributed in the field of Environmental Sciences and Chemistry. He has worked on Environmental, Chemistry, Soil Science, Groundwater Chemistry, Natural Products, and Drug Chemistry etc. He did research on 'Impact of Irrigation on the Environmental Geochemistry of groundwater from Sangamner area, Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra,' 'Antioxidant Activity of Phenolic components from n-butanol fraction (EPC-BF) of defatted flaxseed meal and a comprehensive Review of Phytopharmacology of Ricinus Communis (Linn.) etc.' Dr. Deshmukh received prestigious Best Principal award from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and State of Maharashtra. He has published more than 56 research articles in reputed National and International journals. He has written six books and handled six research projects financed by University Grants Commission and State of Maharashtra. He has successfully guided 09 research students for Ph. D. degree in Chemistry and ninety students for M.Sc. degree. Dr. Deshmukh is not only a researcher but a good administrator. He is successful Principal of very prestigious college affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune for last 19 years. The college has beautiful campus of 50 acres with a combination of graduate and post graduate courses with seven thousand students.
