Mrs Preetha K Balakrishna Menon born as the eighth child of Mr C Balakrishna Menon and Mrs Kamalakshy amma in a small village in Thrissur district at Kerala, completed the education with great struggle .An ardent lover of Malayalam literature and classical dance decided to pursue English literature as a challenge.Studied in a village school through regional language Mastering a foreign language was really a herculean task.But the never bending character and determination and dedication made it a reality.A strong mother was the real strength of anychild along with supportive teachers .Above all a highly supportive spouse. At the age of twenty while I was studying for post graduation I was blessed with a daughter .Getting through family way continuing studies was a tough decision..However my determination gave me strength to face it.I was honoured with M A Literature and a sweet daughter in the year 1994.Same year I could complete my BEd. Joined as an AdHoc faculty of English Dept in Kendriya Vidyalaya,Thrissur,I started my career as teacher.Since then I never turned back.The graph of my life has been always on progressive scale.I joined in Jawahar Navodaya Vidalaya in the year 1997.Having been a dedicated teacher I was awarded Gurushreshtra and Gurubrahma for exemplary results by NVS.After serving for a long 18 yrs I resigned my dream central government profession .To be frank it was not a profession but a passion.No regret for me as I have taken such a decision to take care of my aged mother. During my leave period I have completed my PGDMLD(special education) I have decided to pursue this course by seeing the struggle of the students who were labelled as weak,slow learners and the back benchers. I am proud that this course helped me to support one of my students to get admission in NIT and pursue BTech in Mechanical Engineering.Today I am happy that I can identify such students and help them out.All human born are having one or other capacity.But we elders fail to identify that and thus these poor kids become failure . I have a daughter and a son as agreat blessing and after the marriage of my daughter I am blessed with a son -in-law whom I love to call as my eldest son. Still working to extend future for kids in a residential school as a leader. In the year 2019 I was selected as THE PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR by Global Gurus. I love travelling exploring the beauty of nature, write poems ,enjoys cooking and dances .
