About: Zakir Hussain Najar
Zakir Hussain Najar did his B.Sc. from Sri Pratap College Srinagar with first division. He did his M.Sc. in Zoology with Grade A+ from university of Kashmir in 2018. After his M.Sc. he started his Ph.D. program from the same University. Apart from this Mr. Zakir qualified prestigious CSIR NET-2017. In addition to this, He got selected for the fellowship titled UGC-Moulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) in 2018. Moreover, he qualified UGC NET-JRF in 2018. In 2021, he got promoted as Senior research fellow (SRF) by the university of Kashmir after the proper research assessment and progress. His areas of research include wildlife ecology, Biodiversity conservation, and wildlife management. Currently he is working as full time integrated Ph.D. researcher in Department of Zoology, University of Kashmir. His doctoral work entitled “Diet analysis and habitat use of sympatric wild canids (Mammalia: Canidae) in Hirpora wildlife Sanctuary, Kashmir” Investigates the seasonal diet and dietary overlap among the wild canids of Hirpora Wildlife Century, Kashmir. Besides his Ph.D. work, Mr. Zakir has three years of intense research experience into his credit.
