Credentials of Dr. C. Veerabahu, Principal, V.O. Chidambaram College V.O.Chidambaram Collegehas been headed by the most vibrant Principal Dr. C. Veerabahu, from the year 2012 till date. He constantly endeavors to always live up to the ideology of providing “Education to all” for the socially and economically deprived sections of the society.

His tenure can be rightly coined as Golden Period with the following remarkable accomplishments:

  • O.Chidambaram College been re-accredited by NAAC with A grade, with CGPA score of 3.31 out of 4 in 2017 and has been awarded 77th rank in the India rankings 2019 (NIRF). Our institution has also been recognized as a mentor institution by NAAC, to sensitize non accredited institutions about the significance of NAAC and its latest reforms.
  • He has been appointed as a member syndicate, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University elected unanimously be the Principal’s association
  • Our college is the only non-technical institution awarded with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UGC), he has established Multi linguistic Center with INaWORD and initiated the formation of CA Foundation Training Course. He had entered into MoU with Bitstep Training Academy to provide Soft Skill and Language Training and also an MoU with ONGC as a part of CSR scheme. For offering various skill courses towards enhancement of employment and career opportunities an M.O.U. with Bharathidasan University, IECD (Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career Development) has also been made. The college has made an MoU with Zokotov University for promoting research. To provide technical skills towards entrepreneurship an MoU has been made with New Mobile Technologies, Coimbatore for training towards mobile servicing. Alsoa Letter of Intent with ISRO, Hyderabad has been made for Bhuvan Panchayat for asset mapping and another Letter of Intent with IIT Mumbai for online courses.
  • He has also been associated with MHRD’s innovation cell, molded the personality of the students towards entrepreneurship and employments through the entrepreneurship cell, he has formed the Internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) for leading the college towards tremendous growth.
  • His administrative capability stands tall notably, with the introduction of mentoring system, introduction of automation, finding out alternative source of energy, effective formation of women’s counseling cell, mindboggling alumni meet, mega placement drive, ignited various social activities in the form of sending relief items to the flood affected areas, initiated awareness & blood donation camps, established VOC academy through which competitive examinations, personality development programs has also come into existence
