About Dr. D. K. Jayswal
Myself Dr. D. K. Jayswal S/o Shri G. L. Jayswal born on 1st December 1990 at remote village – Paigama, District Sidhi in Madhya Pradesh. My father is a small farmer. I did my high school from Govt. high school, Bahari and Higher secondary from school of excellence no. 1 Sidhi. I have done my Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Masters in Agriculture (Horticulture - Fruit Science) and Ph.D. in Agriculture (Horticulture - Fruit Science) from College of Agriculture, Jabalpur, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur in the year of 2012, 2014 & 2017 respectively. I’m the first rank merit certificate awarded for my Master degree programme at university level. I participated in various intra and inter university cultural activities and received several awards and certificates in which some of explicit awards are:
- 2nd Prize in Debate (Against the motion) and 3rd Prize in One Act Play at ‘13th All India Inter Agricultural Universities youth festival’ organized during 24th–28th Feb, 2013.
- Young Scientist Award by the Society of Tropical Agriculture (Reg. No. S/1714/2017) and also received Best Poster Award during National Conference on “Global Research Initiatives for Sustainable Agriculture & Allied Sciences” 12-13 December 2015 at RVSKVV, Gwalior.
Some of my publications and memberships in professional societies:
- Published, 12 Research article in NAAS rated Journal and 5 articles in different magazine.
- I’m Life Member of ‘The Indian Science Congress Association (L.M. No. : L37397) and of Indian Society for Arid Horticulture Reg. No. 128/B/03-04 (L.M. No: 322).
I’m working as Research Associate under World Bank funded – National Agriculture Higher Education Project (NAHEP), ICAR, Pusa, New Delhi. The NAHEP project is 50:50 cost sharing basis between the World Bank and the Government of India. I’m looking after CAAST- Centre for Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology with 14 CAAST sub-projects across the nation namely BCKV, West Bengal; CIFE, Mumbai; CSAU&T, Kanpur; MPKV, Rahuri; IVRI, Izatnagar; NAU, Navsari; IARI, New Delhi; UAS, Bangalore; PAU, Ludhiana; AAU, Anand; BAU, Ranchi; CSKHPKV, Palampur; KAU, Kerala and VNMKV, Parbhani with the objective to participation of industries in these centers for skill development for enhanced education, employability and entrepreneurship.
To achieve the set objective, my contributions are:
- To scrutinize proposals submitted by the Agricultural Universities all over India and present to the Agricultural Higher Educational Project Committee (AHEPC) & International Reviewers. Complying with the queries consulting with the concern Agricultural Universities (AUs).
- Facilitating the budget allocation based on the sanction letter and Negotiate with Agricultural Universities with International and National repute
- Providing the support to AUs Signing of MoU with the International and National repute Agricultural Universities through which faculties and students are exchange their learning and updates with International Agricultural development activities and the benefit goes directly to the farmers of all over world.
- To monitor and evaluation of the project implementation
- To facilitate the AUs to follow social and environment safeguard polices in each activities of the proposed project. Which in turn to show case the project as environmentally sustainable and also reduce the carbon emission from the proposed activities
- To develop a road map for the students and faculties those are coming from the socially and economically vulnerable communities not only mainstreaming but also competing with general students and faculties to show their excellence.
