About Dr. Vivek Harskhbhai Ramanandi
Dr. Vivek H. Ramanandi is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy in SPB Physiotherapy College, affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. He is registered as a Ph.D. research scholar with Gujarat University, Ahmedabad under able guidance of Senior Professor and Superintendent of Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad Dr. M. M. Prabhakar. He is a qualified neuro-physiotherapist and holds masters degree from prestigious Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. He is a registered member of Indian Association of Physiotherapist and Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy. Dr. Vivek specializes in rehabilitation of adult and paediatric neurological patients and conducting exploratory qualitative research.He is no stranger to research, teaching and clinical aspects of physiotherapy in various neurological conditions. He has spent more than 10 years as a senior consulting physiotherapist, a teacher and a researcher at 3 different institutes across Gujarat. He has provided his services as an administrator on the post of Principal at Satish Goswami College of Physiotherapy affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.In these roles, Dr. Vivek was responsible for consulting and treating patients; teaching and training undergraduate and post-graduate students; conducting and guiding research in the field of physiotherapy and supervising research of the post-graduate students along with other responsibilities as a teacher and clinician.Passionate about family centered rehabilitation services and its scope in India, Dr. Vivek provides physiotherapy and counselling services that help the rehabilitation personnel to gain insights into issues of family members of disabled and provide solutions as per their needs.Dr. Vivek is also the creator of a Gujarati Questionnaire titled “Awareness, Acceptance, Socio-economic stress and Expectations from Physiotherapists - Perspective from a parent of child with Cerebral Palsy” which is under consideration for copyright registration by Government of India.Dr. Vivek has published articles in journals of repute; had been providing his services as invited peer reviewer in various journals in Physiotherapy field. His book chapter “Research trends in Physiotherapy” in volume-3 of International editorial edition of “Research Trends in Medical Science” was published in 2019 and has since helped hundreds of people to learn about the trends of research in the field of Physiotherapy since its inception and current scenario of ongoing research.
