About Dr. Nongthombam Muhindro Singh 

Dr. Nongthombam Muhindro Singh is working as Subject Matter Specialist

(Veterinary Science) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hengbung, Senapati, Manipur since

  1. He is an alumnus of Sainik School, Imphal. He was a good sportsman

representing his school hockey team in various tournaments all over India and

also attended various NCC camps while at school. He did his B.V.Sc. And M.V.Sc.

from Ranchi Veterinary College, Ranchi, (BAU, Ranchi). He obtained his Ph.D.

degree from SASRD, Nagaland University, Nagaland. He has attended and

presented papers in national and international workshops, conference and

seminars and published about 10 papers in journals of repute. He has won

various awards individually as well as jointly in these workshops/ conference and

seminars. He was awarded as ‘Best KVK Scientist Award’ by Indian Society of

Extension Education, IARI, New Delhi in the year 2019 at Bikaner. He has

demonstrated various ICAR approved technologies to the farmers of the state in

the field of livestock production. He has successfully implemented four externally

funded projects under Department of Science and Technology and Department of

Bio-Technology, Govt. of India which has helped increased the socio-economic

status of tribal farmers including farm women in the hill district of the state. He

introduced Emu rearing in the state of Manipur. He also teaches undergraduate

students at College of Agricultural Biotechnology, FGI, Hengbung, Manipur.
